Ok, so some of my looser cards in my wallet have fallen out at some point yesterday and are gone.

I need a new ARC, and on a far less important note, a new Costco card.

My school is a bit clueless as to how to obtain one, help! Very Happy

Just shuffle off to Mokdong immigration office (with passport) and apply for a new 'un. They might even do it while you wait.

I think it costs 10,000W for a new one, but yeah, all you'll need is a passport. Costco in Canada is pretty obliging about lost cards, and I'd imagine they are here too- if you can get past the language thing.

My wallet got stolen last year and I had to replace my ARC. From where you are you'll have to go to Incheon Immigration (preferably with a Korean speaker - it *might* have to be a representative of your school). They have all the info on file. Just bring your passport. When I did it, it was a matter of 15 minutes of waiting, 2 minutes of processing, and another 15 minutes of waiting. They didn't need a new photo but it wouldn't hurt to have a few along just in case.

You definitely don't need a representative from your school. I've been here almost 4 years, and worked at as many schools. I only ever went to immigration with someone from the school once.

You don't need one. But as with all things dealing with Korean beaurocracy, having a Korean along with you, be they a representative from your school or just a bum you picked up off the street, will make things go a lot smoother.

When I lost mine, I didn't have to make a police report. I DID have to write a statement about when the card was lost and where it could have been lost. (If I would have known THAT, I could have found it!!!) I didn't even have to go to immigration. One of the Korean office staff was going there on another matter and took my passport, 10,000 won and the statement along with her. One of the easier things to do in regards to immigration!

As to the Costco card, bring your ARC when you get it back, along with your passport, and they should replace it with no problem.

-I also lost my wallet (including ARC). I filed a police report. I'm leaving the country for good soon. What will happen at the airport if I don't have it? They usually ask for it. thnx!

I imagine that if you don't have your card and you give/show them a copy of the police report, it will be ok.

It's funny 'cas your name is blunder but it's good that you found it. Make photocopies of it just in case you lose it again.
