After being in Pohang for a year and coming home, I was thinking of working up in Gangwon province. Has anyone worked up there who could offer some school/city suggestions. I want to be up in the snow.

You wont see much snow. When I was up there we had one good week of snow and that was pretty much it.

You will be isolated, far from most things.
Unless you are right on the coast there is little to do....even on the coast the beach wears thin after a while(as the water is pretty cold all year round)

If you do try to find a job in Gangneung..they are fairly modern, 3 hours away from Seoul by express bus and have lots of festivals, decent beaches and a fair amount of foreigners.
