I just saw Old Boy. Quite impressive.

I'm a little curious though. With the exception of the closing snowy scene in the mountains, I can't see any parts of the movie that might have been shot in NZ. But the closing credits listed the NZ crew and thanks the residents of Mount Hutt. Did they shoot any other scenes in NZ, or did they just go to NZ to get some out of season snow scenes?

I never watched the credits so wasn't aware of that but very interesting film trivia. I'll have to watch it again glad I own it now!

I think it was just that ending in the snow.

While I was watching it I was thinking 'hey, I didn't know Korea had any mountains that impressive'. Now i know Very Happy .

It's like years ago when, by chance, I found myself watching part of a Korean music video while channel surfing. The scene had this guy playing in the surf on this beautiful beach with a young bride. First I thought 'hey, that's a nice beach', then later 'wow, i didn't know Korean beaches were so beautiful' then 'I guess it must be Kangwon Do - wow, it looks a lot like NZ, I've got to give Korea more credit'.

A few weeks later I saw the video again from the beginning. It started off on a Marae with some Maori guys doing a haka and the ladies singing a waiata. Then all the clues fell into place.

Also, the part where they're in a fairly western House, and smoking pot.

I'm lost now. Are you referring to Old Boy or some different music video?

He's talking about Park Chan-Wook's follow-up, Lady Vengeance, I think.
