I am bored and want a mmorpg.
While COH isnt as enthralling as some its pretty good fun and has low system reqs.
However I have a laptop with onboard GFX.
My comp spec is
1.3gig centrino celeron processor (according to the people i asked centrino means its closer to 3gig in real terms)
64mb onboard gfx (integrated)
512 mb ram
Will it play it? Anyone got a copy I could try out, as I'm loathed to buy a game without testing it. Ironically I got a cd key for COV beta but i cant understand the link for downloading it.
I've run SR Test, my comp FAILS for COH cause of the GFX but passes for COV, which i find very confusing.
Alternatively does anyone play any korean MMORPGS which i could play in a PC bang, which they know has a few englishee speakers. |

Um, by any chance do they work for Intel, in the marketing dept?
Celeron means your laptop will always be weak when it comes to graphics.
Centrino is a chipset that is optimized for wireless and low power consumption for laptops.
I'm not an expert but I think it would be safe to say that anyone who said you had 'an equivalent to a 3 Ghz CPU' was blowing copious amounts of smoke up your butt.
As to your dilemma regarding whether or not COH or COV will play on your laptop, the solution is simple: Try the demos. If they run then there's no reason why the full game wouldn't.
I think you can download the Heroes demo from Fileplanet. |
