I've noticed most doors in Korea, if they don't swing both ways, open inward. You'll notice almost all doors in North America open outward. Outward is safer than inward. Why? Well, imagine a fire. People are trying to get out the doors. And someone falls in front of the doors. If the doors open in, the body will block the doors. If the doors open out, then a fallen person won't inhibit the stampede to get out of the burning building.

Yeah, walking down the street (or coridor) I appreciate outward opening doors the most when one opens and smashes me in the face.

Great fun.

My Korean friend and I were spending time in Canadia and Amoirika and he had THE most trouble with the doors! They just didn't go the Korean way for him. Everytime!

Too funny!
