i am going to give in to my girlfriend and try to get a couple ring. the only problem is that i have no idea on where to get it. are there any recommendations? how much should i expect to spend? i live about 30 minutes away from gangnam, so i would prefer to stay around that area if possible. thanks

Jongno seems to be the place to get such things.

3? Jongo 3 ga?
Is there anything I should know before I go? Are prices negotiable? How much should I be looking to spend? Do you recommend any specific place(s)?

Yep.

Just follow the college/high school couples dressed in matching outfits and listen for the sound, "ooppppaaaa oooteeekkkkeeee."

Couple t-shirts are cheesy! Something subtle like a couple ring is not.

Personally I think it denotes a bit of insecurity to have to have you love solidified into a physical object. Transubstantiantion of amour seems pecuriar to me.

Silly question, if it is a couple ring. Why don't you go and buy it together? I am sure she would know where to go and buy one.

Couple rings....

You can buy them in Jongro 3ga and Jongro 4ga. I think it is Jongro-4ga, 3/4 of the way to Dongdaemun that there is a large underground jewelry market wich seems to be empty most of the time.

I would never date a woman who made a piece of metal some kind of prerequisite for a relationship. Actually, it's probably more the reverse. Women who date me are generally intelligent and focus on other things beyond minor baubles like a couple ring.

Right, go with her. It's not like buying an engagement ring in secret so you can propose. There's nothing wrong with going together.

They aren't that expensive. Maybe 50-100,000 each. Of course, you can go more if you want.

Actually, I hate wearing rings (not trying to pretend I'm single), so I simply bought a couple ring for my girlfriend. Not sure she'll be so willing to give in to me not wearing a wedding ring later, though.
