Hey,

Season's back, sounds like it was a great start.

Anyone know how to watch hockey games through the internet?

I'm dying to catch a Leafs game.

I'm a big Sens fan. I wish I could also watch the games on the internet. Or, what bars show the games? Canadian bar?

streamtvnow.com has live sports. Only problem is they have been limiting their new registrations, they were swamped with the start of the NFL season.

If you get in it is really worth paying the 3 euros/month for the ppv service. I'm watching the Yankee-Angels game now and just finished watching the CHW-Bos game

Yeah after almost giving up I finally got to register the other day! I watched the Detroit-St. Louis game (I'm a bruins fan case ya didn't know by the nick) which was good. They will be showing each double header of Hockey Night In Canada which starts around 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning. I gladly paid the 9 euros for 3 month membership, well worth it.

Thanks for the info ... how is the quality? I always watch those little 2 minute highlights on mapleleafs.com, but shitty quality. I have one of my brothers back home taping all the "Leafs in an hour" games. Nice and compact, but takes a good month or two before I can see them. Not the same as watching it live

depend on the feed. I was watching the baseball games today and the quality was pretty good. In fact it was in perfect synce with the Korean TV feed so I got english commentary. the lower kbps feeds aren't good but sometimes you have massive problems if your connection slows down with the higher speed feeds.

channel 1 and 2 are usually good, 5 always gives me problems, 9 is OK, 15 also gives me fits.

Bottom line is you better have a good broadband connection for it.

One critical thing I have to say is that I HATE it how they jump around while a game is going on! I mean I was watching the Toronto-Canadiens game this morning and between commercials (which we all know are short for hockey games) buddy changes the channel to baseball! I was like WTF???? Between intermissions actually stayed out too long and missed the first 2 minutes of the 3rd period! Anyway the quality is fine, it's so great to have NHL hockey in Korea!!!

I've seen Toronto vs. Ottawa, Vancouver vs. Phoenix, and Montreal vs. NY Rangers on Bit Torrent. Sure, it's a day or so late, but if you don't check out the sports scores, it works.

Come on now, every Ontarian knows that the Sens are gonna finish frist place, have crazy expectations, and then lose to the Leafs in the first or second round.

It could happen, so long as the Leafs stay healthy. Lindros, Allison, and O'Neil could end up paying off huge for us. We'll have to see.

That will not happen this year. The Sens have a strong team this year. Do we have enough interest in hockey to start a pool this year. I have a feeling that the playoffs in April are going to get down and dirty. I still don't know how I'm going to watch the games. Sad

I signed up for streaming from streamtvnow - they have responded to overwhelming pressure to show more NHL games - now it looks like HNIC will be available on a regular basis.

My problem is that I cant get winamp to play any streams at all - it sometimes buffers, then stops at 7-15%, a few times it has buffered to 100 and displayed the feed - but only for a sec - then it shuts down.

I have scoured the FAQ and Help links on the sites - done just about everything - I have the firefox browser, shut down my firewall and any ptp programs. I removed as many startup programs as I could. I config'd winamp as requested. All to no avail. It may come down to my internet connection. One of the posts by admin noted that he had only known of regular buffer problems in Asia. I am now testing and tweaking my connection - I am desperate.

Curious what others have experienced - on the site. If you are viewing streams, what is your speed (do speed test in FAQ). Any help here would be appreciated - I cant remember being teased this much in a long time - not since high school anyway Laughing

Bittorrent, streamtvnow.com, etc. etc.....

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone of how nice it is to be in one's home country and able to watch one's Rangers finally play well again, on crisp clear cable and live to boot. Wink
