Hi,

I know I've seen the thread elsewhere...but I'm in a bit of a rush and a bind. I'm buying a plane ticket / visa and I just found out that I have to pay in cash. Is there anywhere I can use my Canadian <TD CANADATRUST> debit card at banking machines in Seoul? It works on the PLUS system. Alternatively, I have a Mastercard and VISA. Where can I get cash advances if I can't use my debit card?

Thanks

Try the KB Bank...it at least worked for a friend of mine who had an account with the RBC, so it might also work for the TD/Canada Trust. Choose the English service and then I think the menus have withdrawal from savings/chequeing account. From what I recall, the transaction slip doesn't give your account balance. Also, I think you have many more options with the credit cards(I think you can get an advance from almost any bank and definitely from those international machines found in LG/GS25 corner stores and what not.

It should work at most International ATMs in Korean banks, but KEB (Korean Exchange Bank) is probably your best bet. They have the best connections to overseas I am told.

Subway station ATMs usually accept foreign bank cards.
