I've seen alot of techies talking about danawa.com on this forum. I checked it out, and indeed it does look inviting.

I'm a bit baffled though. I went to the site and tried to sign up but right away it asks for my Korean Citizenship number. Is there a seperate sign-up form for foreigners? I searched the site for english but nothing. Can anyone help?

Cheers

Foreigners are supposed to be able to call up the individual stores, get their orders in, and then transfer the money through the bank for payment. I got my merchandise by checking out the prices, taking myself, bodily, to Yongsan, and then showing them a list of what I wanted. Luckily I went to a store that actually tries to beat most of the prices off Danawa. I can get the name of the store and the URL of their website to you later, when I get to the piece of paper I wrote it on, if you're interested.

You don't need to sign up to Danawa. They don't sell. They just give you access to dealers (mostly at Yongsan).

So far I've ordered an Albatron 6600GT graphics card(171,000) and an Acbel 450W power supply (74,000) from dealers on Danawa with no problem. Good service.
