hey
many threads about dentists in the FAQ, i thought i'd add a dentist to the list of foreigner-friendly... or just downright friendly dentists in seoul. perhaps someone could move this thread into the 'dentists in seoul' FAQ when they get a chance.
dr. young han
chong-a dental hospital (ûġ)
seoul, gangnam gu, yeoksam-dong 648-22
phone number 02-556-6836, 02-569-2811
the office is on the north side of teheran-ro, at about the halfway point between yeoksam and gangnam subway stations.
dr. han is an excellent dentist, i got a porcelain/silver hybrid crown from him just yesterday. the workmanship seems top notch (i don't know for sure, my first crown). his manner is very calm and informative - he tells you exactly what's wrong, in perfect english, and then tells you what you need to do.
his staff are also very friendly and helpful. their english isn't as good but they make sure you understand what's going on.
unfortunately i had to go there 4 times for a root canal/crown treatment but i hear repeat visits are pretty common for dentists in korea.
the main thing that impressed me is that i got a second opinion from a dude in apkujeong. he said my treatment would be 1.2-1.4 million won. dr. han charged me 454,000 for the whole deal. stoked! |
