Hey guys... another question.
How do I go about hooking up a router for my PC and XBOX? I want to have them both up and running at the same time... PC for internet... XBOX for Live. Also... any idea of what I'm looking at for cost?
Thanks again! |

| Nothing tricky in a router these days and unless you buy some obscure brand you'll be able to get English documentation on the web (if it's not already on the disk that comes with some routers). know nothing about Xbox but for a pc they're easy to use... I guess you can't use a wireless card with an Xbox (?) so you might not go down that road? a 4 port (non-wireless) router is going to be pretty cheap... I would expect to be able to find one for under W50,000, if not 40 or even 30,000. |

I bought a router for XBox- it's dead simple, pretty much the same as using a 4-way socket adaptor for power.
The only difficulty I had was that I tried to use a crossover cable instead of a normal network cable (router box seemed to imply it wouldn't be a problem, but I couldn't get it to work), and I had to fiddle around with IP address settings- but that was so I could FTP music, videos etc. from my PC to the (modded) box.
Think the router was 45,000 from a chain store- no doubt it'd be cheaper from Yongsan |
