Before you download a whole bunch of needless or conflicting codecs try out G-Spot it's a free application that will analyze a file and tell you what codecs you need. Also, try VLC media player. It'll play most stuff right out of the gate.

Cheers

Yup, and it's right here. I just discovered tonight that it will even play *.iso files.

That's an archive file. Go into the directory and select the first archive in the series. Right Click and "Extract Here". It should extract the contents of all the archives into one playable file.

When I right click on the first file I just get the normal Open, Send to, Cut, Copy... ect window... By directory I'm assuming that you mean the Folders... There are four in the the file... CD1, CD2, Sample, and Subs...

Its not a zip file or anything... to the best of my memory I downloaded as is.

Any more advice? Thanks again... really appreciate the help.

Sounds like a Winrar file.
Just go here http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm and download WinRAR, install, and it will take unpack the movie and assemble it into your normal avi file or whatever. It's like WinZIP if you know anything about that.

vlc media player will also play rar files. Mind you, you have to put them all in sequential order in the playlist.

Try G-spot it's free and it'll tell you what codecs you need to play the file. See the advice above for other tips.

G-spot
