A friend of mine works as a prison social worker somewhere in CA. It really is as bad as you might expect. |

Nope that kind of thing happens all the time in that line of work. Hence me taking "breaks" overseas because well....that line of work has one of the highest burnout rates.
I totally get his frustration. I get that way some days when families and kids do really stupid stuff. Somedays I just go totally out of my mind with all that is thrown at me. But underneath those really bad things lie some really neat kids and families who truly work at improving their lives. Those moments really make it worth doing what we do. |
