I thought immigration was supposed to take your ARC when you finish your visa and leave Korea. Before when my ARC was expired the immigration officer at Incheon always kept my card. Well, I finished my contract and left last week and the immigration guy put my ARC back into my passport and later that day I found it. Should I mail my ARC to immigration or not? He also wouldn't take my departure card when I tried to give it to him. How stupid.

You got a nice momento of your trip with your ARC. Don't sweat over it. I still have my first one from 2002 but they did take my cards from 2003 and 2004.

New rules for foreigners LEAVING Korea. Departure card is NOT required anymore. The notice is posted on the front of the passport control booths at the ENTRY section. I have no idea why it is not posted at the departure zone.
