I was there.

I took in some excellent presentations & some duds. I enjoyed hobnobbing with acquaintances past & present, & meeting new folks too. It was useful seeing what all the publishers are putting out these days, but most of their offerings are dismayingly similar.

By sunday afternoon it seemed everyone was comparing bags bulging with sample books & materials -- I'd guess most attendees recouped their admission fee in freebies.

Nice mood to the whole event.

Sorry I didnt greet you tzechuk, or maybe I did! (I dont know who you are offline but I'll bet we've met.)

I was there - as always there were more than enough good presentations to make it well worthwhile.

Had wondered at past conferences how the lovely MC with surname 'Kim' had neither a Korean or Korean-preferred American accent - this time I spotted the famous baby in tow and the penny droppped!

I also went to the conference and was pleased with the seminars/presentations that I attended. I picked up quite a few new and useful ideas to try and use at work.

One small complaint though is that the Employment Centre place was tiny, with piles of pamphlets lying on the floor for people to rummage through. Others were apparently having (not very private) interviews at the same time. So I think that is one aspect of the conference that could be set up more professionally.

I was there, but every bloody presentation had tech problems. No projector, equipment arriving 20-30 minutes late clearly not well organized.
