I took my dog to the states last Christmas. He was born in Ulsan, and was a hound dog. When he got to the states he could not adjust. All he did was sniff around the neighborhood looking for half empty green soju bottles to drink. He could not find any. He did not have any friends because he only barked korean. Other dogs would ignore him, and sometimes bark at him for pushing other dogs. He loved to push all kinds of animals, even people. But everyone hated that and so they ignored him. He ate grass and tried to communicate to the other dogs that it was 'good for health'. They laughed at him. He missed kimchi, and once I saw him digging up some cabbages and turnips. He tried to make his own kimchi, but failed. He went to the city and tried to jump in front of a subway train, but some policemen stopped him. He finally found a small Korean store near the subway. I would always see him hanging around the back. I guess they liked him too because one day I saw him inside their kitchen. It looked like they were cooking some kind of stew. well, that was the last time I saw him, I hope he is doing okay.
