There is an excellent, albeit all too brief, article on Kim Jong Il and his sons vying for power and figuring out the succession in the November issue of GQ (Gentleman's Quarterly). It's in the American version anyway.
Before anyone asks me where I found it on the penninsula, I didn't, we're home for awhile. USO always has a plethora of magazines, maybe there?
The article doesn't really break new ground if you're already familiar with the subject, but it does summarize everything nicely with a brief relation of it to the recent breakthrough in negotiations at the six-party talks.
