you know, like those plastic ones that they have outside of all the convenience stores?
i have a rooftop apartment and i'd like to take advantage of this outdoor space. i've been looking around but haven't found any patio furniture for sale anywhere.
thanks for your help!

| Hi, if you live in Seoul you can go to Nam Dae Mun. There are many vendors selling those sets. Its fall and they might be putting them away. |

Costco - albeit a bit pricey.
During the beginning of Summer, all major supermarkets sold them... not anymore though, although you might want to try the bigger Carrefours etc.
Also, if memory serves, outside Hannam Supermarket, in that lobby area, I seem to remember a set being sold - again, not 100% sure.
If you were in Daejeon I could tell you.. but Seoul.. I don't know.
I can search on the Internet for you if you can read Korean? |

We asked the folks that run the little convenience store next to our apartment to order one for us and they did. Table, umbrella, four chairs for 70 or 80,000 won or so.
We asked in May, and at that time their supplier was swamped with orders. So if you go that route, try asking in March or April. As soon as the first warm day hits, everyone will place their orders and you'll have to queue up.

awesome, thanks again! i'll be ordering one of those very soon.
i asked a korean co-worker where i could find a plastic patio table the other day. she kindly explained to me that since people don't have backyards in korea, patio tables are not available for purchase. |

You are welcome.
My husband told me this last year when I decided I would come here and check it out:
*Foreigners know more about Korea, what you can get, where you can eat, than Korean people.*
I asked why, he said:
*Because we never bother trying to find out extra information that is not relevant to us and when we are asked, we just say that it doesn't exist in Korea.*
This kind of sums up the attitude the majority of Korean people have, really.
