The guy I've always gone to for Xbox uploads seems to have hit a brick wall. I was able to get KUF: Heroes but not any of the other popular games on my wish list (Arx Fatalis, Myst IV, Gladius, Elder Scrolls, Far Cry Instincts, etc.) What to do, where to go? |

Bit Torrent. I made the mistake of buying games when I bought my xbox. They even screwed up on the games. I ended up downloading the game I really wanted. |

Mack, did you get a bigger hard drive when you got your Xbox modded? If so, just download the games off BitTorrent and FTP them to your Box. Or if you've got a DVD burner you can just burn the games yourself and they'll play just fine.
When it comes to bootleg games, Yongsan is for suckers. Damn near every Xbox and PS2 game is on BitTorrent, so why pay some dude to do what you can do yourself? |

I've got gigafnords of memory, but I wonder, when I transfer the files do I have to sex them up first (e.g. change the .iso suffix or whatever)? |

yeah when I download (legal backup) copies of games, I end up burning them to disk instead of just putting them straight on the hard drive, cos I don't know what I'm doing. |

If i FTP anything to my Xbox, I extract the ISO and make a folder for the new game in the Games folder on my F: Drive. Copy the extracted files into the new directory and you're set.
ISO tools for most any OS (including Mac) can be found here. |

If you're running Windows, get Craxtion.
If you're on a Mac, get Xdisc. |

OK, quick tutorial needed. So let's say I download the .iso file, and it's there on my computer. Can I just zap it via my AceFTP straight on over to the Box or must I rig it first? |

1. Go download Craxtion.
2. Use it to extract the contents of the ISO to a folder on your computer's hard drive.
3. FTP that folder into the "Games" directory on your Xbox's F: drive.
4. Reboot Xbox.
5. Enjoy. |

Absolutely correct.
This program will extract/compress .iso files, and it has FTP utilities to get it onto your XBox. It's an all-in-one tool. You can get it from www.xboxscene.com |

OK. Did the torrent thing and one game came in (iso) and I converted it, but another file came in as a naughty little .rar. What kind of extreme nastiness is going on there? My ISO program doesn't even recognize its existence. Can I just zap it on over to my Sexbox, sans conversion?
I'm surprised by how little is out there for the Xbox. On torrentspy only 6 or 7 games were in the "healthy" zone. Am I hitting the wrong website? |

If the game comes as a bunch of .rar files (which most of them will do, as it's quicker to torrent a batch of smaller .rar files than one big .iso), use WinRAR (for Windows) or UnRARX (for Mac users) to reassemble the ISO. Once that's done, use your ISO program to extract the game.

You're on the wrong site. Damn near every game that's come out is on one torrent site or another, and the new releases almost always hit the sites the day they come out. Check out Blackcat's Games or Torrent Leech.
The best Xbox site is Xbox-Sky, but they're not accepting any new registrations right now. The admins are in the process of weeding out all the leechers and hit-n-runners who don't share their torrents. (So if you eventually get an account on there, seed your torrents once they're downloaded or you won't have an account for long.) |
