Anybody have the phone # (or address, preferably) of her OB/GYN clinic? I'm writing her a complaint letter- the receptionist is an absolute imbecile, and downright rude. I'm really sick of her attitude. Evil or Very Mad

Ha - that's funny, I was thinking of doing the same thing. I debated not going back to her for my follow up next week, but can't find an alternative place to go.

My biggest complaint with the receptionist is that she came up to me in the waiting room, in front of 4 other people who were waiting, and explained my diagnosis loud and clear for everyone. The other foreign girl sitting close to me did her best to focus on her magazine and I could tell she was cringing for me. There are 4 or 5 receptionists, I've found most of them to be pleasant and professional, but the other 2.......grrr.

On the receipt from the office the address is:

Dr. Sung's Obstetrics and Gynecology
2F Chung Wha Bldg, 273-3 Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul
(no postal code)
Tel 02-790-0802

As far as 'western styles' of ob/gyn go she is probably the best. After having my history tut-tutted infront of medical students (ie, she's not married why is she here sucking through the teeth), the curtains left open while in the middle of examination which seems to be the regular standard of care in Korea, I was more than happy to go to Doctor Sung's Granted there's still problems in comparison to the west, but she is light years ahead of just about anywhere else in Korea.

Shocked I'd never tolerate a rude nurse, I don't care how good the doctor is because there are a fair share of good doctors in Seoul.

Until recently I was going to Hanyang University Hospital and they're great there. While I can't compare them to Dr. Sung, my experience there was very good.

Nurses don't really matter. When it comes to my neither regions I'll find the best doc possible to wield that speculum.

I really like my ob/gyn doc here in Daejeon and he is a man!

He speaks really good English, not pushy and is really patient. He also does everything very privately and discreetly.

Great to hear! I personally prefer female docs for ob/gyn. But beggars can't be choosers.
