Labor strife is expected to intensify after a reputed hard-liner who is determined to fight government policies on temporary workers and the labor union system was elected to lead nation's second largest labor group....The group vowed to struggle against a new bill on irregular workers from next month when a National Assembly committee will begin deliberations on the bill. Labor groups opposed the legislation on the grounds that it would lead to an increase in the number of temporary workers.... The group also adamantly opposes other labor-related bills, including a measure on multiple unionism under which employees can choose from more than one labor union in a company.
Labor tension likely to heighten as hard-liner takes KCTU helm
