There is a Vespa delearship in Hyewha with quite a few vintage scooters and even an old Lambretta. Does anyone know anything about this scene any bars in Hongdea with the music fashion

How much is a new PX style 150cc? I'm not talking about the flashy 200c or plastic looking covered Vespas. I suppose it'll run 4 or 5 million here.

Do you have rough directions to the Hyewha Vespa dealer?

I thought you meant Mod scene as in Mod chips for game consoles.

Now where did I put that parka from 25 years ago........

There's actually another Vespa dealership in Hannam dong, near Itaewon. Haven't checked it out yet.

Vespa Garage near Hansung University (between HyeHwa Rotary and Hansung Station). It's still there.

Closest thing to a mod scene I've seen, was a guy wearing a parka, sitting on his Vespa outside of Vespa Garage! Other than that, I know there is a guy in the Army who had his P200 shipped over here from the States. He rides around and has met up with some local riders. You can always throw up a post on www.scooterbbs.com and try to find some people that might be here.

I haven't done any of that, cuz, well, I'm strictly a Lambretta person, and I'm a bit of a snob about it. Lambrettas here are extremely rare and way to expensive for my blood, and I can't see myself settling for a Vespa or a Stella. Also, there's a good chance that a Lambretta here has been imported from Vetnam or Indonesia, and I have seen and heard too many horror stories of bikes from Southeast Asia. So for me, my Special 150 will sit at home in my dad's garage waiting for me to return and fire her up.

As for music like Soul Nights or mod rock or garage rock bands, I haven't seen or heard of anything like that going on. I dunno, I just can't see Koreans getting into soul music and dancing around. Check out the videos on Youtube of the Tokyo Mods Mayday Run.

That's what I thought as well! A nice little cafe where they would ask people to leave if they swore too much, or said nasty things to each other!! Dave should open a little cafe somewhere so that people can moan face to face!

Check out these two Lambretta's I saw parked side-by-side outside a villa near Anguk Station a couple of years ago.......I don't really know much about scooters so I don't know if they're the real deal or not....but they look sweet.
