-Has anyone seen any of the 3 reports from North korea by the BBC? On the BBC News24 channel at the moment.
Fairly brief, though entertaining. They film a mass military ceremony in praise of Kim Jong Il, by his immaculately trained set of cheerleaders.
Best moment is when the reporter is shown round a PC bang with new computers. He is allowed to ask a question to one of the women there-
"Would you like to be able to surf the internet?"
She takes a breath as if about to say something...purses her lips..then just stays quiet and sighs.
"Sometimes its safer to keep your mouth shut".
What a country!!!! Insane!!
Its hard to believe that the human race is capable of producing such a ridiculously paranoid, closed society. |
