My thoughts exactly these days.
You are of course using the preferred Korean restaurant-grade 'soot' (��) and not (forgoodness sake) the U.S. blackmarket Kingsford variety or those nasty round 'bung-gae ttan" (������ź) ones. Of course.
They go into a large (ideally blackmarket-procured) empty dill pickle jar, the briquettes do, and then you fill it with this (see photo) which you can buy from the pharmacist and can reuse forever. No more iffy starts, no more lighter-fluid fumes.
