Now then

There seems to be loads of postings on Thailand nowadays. I`m just gonna add another!
I`m basically off to Thailand for a month or so next week. I really wanna `see` as much of Thailand as I can in the time frame ie the animals, temples, scenery and the like. I also wanna have a relaxing time on the beaches and see the corals and of course get pissed quite a lot!

I was thinking about starting off at Bangkok, heading down to Phuket, Ko Phi Phi, up to Ko Pha-ngan, Ko Samui, up to Bangkok again, then down to Ko Samet and Trat.

Now for what I`m wanting to do and see, i`m wondering if all you hardened travellers out there would agree on this kind of route. Is there any other place where i should go without missing out on too much???

Also, are there any specific sites, accommodation, bars etc that are at these places that are a `must`.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Have a good one.

Avoid Thailand and go to Laos. That being said, Prang-na, Railay, Krabi was good. There is a string of islands very south that is discussed in the in flight Thai Air magazine. Suko Thai is good and another ruin site nearby. There is a big water fall near Tak but the locals have made it difficult to get to, its a 4 hour walk and theres one sag/tuk tuk going there each day. the waterfall, its like thje tallest or something. Thailand has those perfect paradise waterfalls that last for 1/2 of mile, several falls in one river arrangement. I like those. Chiang Mai is good for motorcycles and shopping. You can rent a cruising bike for $6 a day and go anywhere.

good luck!
