Hey, after going over many contracts, and not really being satisfied by any of them, I am considering flying over and looking for a job in country.
Does anyone know if I can get a flight cheaper than $1000 from Canada?
Thanks again |

are you flying out of toronto or vancouver?
if so, do a cheapest flight search on the Northwest Airlines website.
i came here from T.O. in the summer for $696 CANADIAN!!!! ...two connections. |

The cheapest one I can find now is about 1200..but I will keep checking.
Is there any specifics I should know about looking for cheap flights? Or is it just random, sometimes it's cheaper than other times?
Thanks again |

Here's a hint. For cheaper tickets try to buy your tickets from an area where people from your destination tend to gather. What this means, if you are going to China, go to Chinatown. Agents often buy large numbers of seats and sell them at a discount. |

You buying a one-way or a two way open ticket?
If you are buying a one way you might have problems with Korean immigration upon arrival as they might require an outbound ticket to let you in.
If you are in TO...go to Chinatown (like Fidel said)...best prices around are to be found there.
Finally if you come over looking for work and have never been here before...better bring some cash along to hold you over until you find a job and get paid (pay comes monthly here so you will get your first pay one month after you start).
Also, sometimes when you find work locally, the school will not include airfare in the contract as you are allready on site...something else to consider.
They might (or most likely simply won't) reimburse your ticket to Korea.
Best of luck. |
