Look for a sign on the CD drive that says "compact disc recordable rewriteable," or some such hooey. It's a little insignia about 1.5 cm square and it's plastered on a corner of the CD drive door. |

You also have to check that the computer has a program that will help you make the CD. It's called Nero. |

You definitely don't 'need' nero (as it is not FREE), any recent version of Windows Media Player is capable. I'd follow Bulsajo's advice. |

Hey, if it's already installed on the computer, it might be paid for. Why use a crappy utility? |

I think you don't even need Windows Media Player- XP the o/s has built-in burning capability (but of course it's crappy compared to NERO or Roxio). You can find it in Windows exployer or my computer screens.
I agree with both previous posts- use NERO if possible, but if it comes down to it then don't pay for it but use XP or Windows Media Player. |
