Trouble is brewing over teaching materials designed by the Busan chapter of the Korean Teachers Union that cast a satirical look at the upcoming APEC forum from an anti-globalization perspective.... The video shows Bush as given to spitting expletives and is full of four-letter-words and abusive language.

American citizens living in or traveling to the Republic of Korea should pay special attention to the high likelihood of protests and civil demonstrations in the Busan area during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, November 12 - 19, 2005. Korean police advised the Embassy that they expect 30,000 to 50,000 protesters to gather in downtown Busan and in the vicinity of the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center.

I suggest a North-South educators exchange. Send the Busan chapter up to Pyongyang for, oh, say 20 years. |

| I'm curious as to what economic model the Busan Teachers Union would like to persuade this export-based-extremely-proud-of-the-Korean-wave society to adopt. I can't think of a country that has benefited more from globalization than S. Korea. |

| These guys are the main reason for the rise of anti-western racism in this country. I can't believe that they can objectively educate the nation's students, given their pro-North, anti American stance. |

How very typically Canadian!
APEC is itself a dirty four-letter word. |

The Marmot's added a posting and commentary of the Busan chapter of the Korean Teachers' Union.
Let's shut the doors, we don't want any outside influences from oppressive capitalist nations anymore. But, is it still ok is if we push our Samsung, Hyundai and LG products your way?

Havng watched the whole video what made me laugh was their prominent use of Se asian and Latin American people...these are the same people that Korean spit on and treat like dogs when they work here in the factories...
Somebody please interpret this and send it to the Daily Show....I'm sure it would get a reaction |

APEC is a joke for my final year I wrote a 30 page report and did an hour representation.
APEC is nothing more then a bunch of old boys squabling. APEC doesn't have any rules or guidelines. The C in APEC stand for cooporation, thats it, its not even seen as a legit international body. APEC is a big fat expensive Asian Joke. |

| Those Busan teachers would all be teaching barefoot in a rice patty if it weren't for global trade. You have to wonder... |

Why would the Teacher's Union give a crap about APEC? Don't they have something productive to do with their time? I heard the Korean education system needs some fixing...
Should've had the conference somewhere else that could use the cash that the conference will generate. Apparently Pusan doesn't need it. |
