Yeah, I suppose that's why they said, 'English native speakers or Koreans'
and
'together with a bachelors degree acquired in a country where English is the primary spoken language'
and
'Copies of Foreign Resident Registration Card or passport '
I see nothing which tells me they only want a Korean. What they want is a highly educated foreigner or Korean/gyopo whom they can pay as a part-time nobody. There isn't even housing with this.
They're dreaming. |

"Or Koreans" equals Koreans.
Any Korean can cheat their way to a US BA. They do all the time.
I see "profound knowledge of Korea" and a ridiculous wage.
That says Korean, maybe Gyopo. Same thing.
I also see a way to get something other than teacher on a resume.
That might be worth a little less per hour if you had a light schedule elsewhere.

They just have no idea what they are doing and what the market is. You can tell this is a Korean that has never really dealt with foreign employees because of the application fee. It is not unusual to charge an application fee among Korean applicants. |

Either way, there are very few competent Korean translators and proof readers who would work for that amount of money. Maybe they are hoping to get someone who needs a second job. |

Only Korean or Gyopo? Yeah, right.
That's probably why they paid $75 to promote the advertisment on a job board that's in English, and profoundly foreign.
Try reading the ad again and tell me if you see the words, 'ONLY Koreans or foreign koreans.' You won't. You're a university lecturer, and you don't know the difference between only and or?
It's OK to admit you're wrong sometimes. Go ahead, you can do it!
Believe whatever you want.
I'd say that Chiaa is very correct. They want a foreigner, but have no idea how to get one. |

hahaha...
That aside, I think they should share what ever they are smoking. They will not even get some one that has to qualifications for such a terrible wage. |

Heck, I'm thinking of placing an ad for some really good looking fake job with great hours and excellent pay, then ask for a 7,000 won application fee. If enough people apply, I could make some serious dough! |

Foreign-invested company? Make it a non-refundable 20,000 won processing fee. Minimum. Check out the photos and date the cuties. This is almost identical to one of the first non-serious posts I ever wrote. |

How do you know so much about me for a gay, black Canadian that I've never met before?
By the way: where did you go to elementary school, junior high, high school and university?
Who is the premier of Ontario?
Who won the Stanley Cup in 1993?
What is a "Tim-Bit?"
What is the largest subway network in Canada?
Which province is the only perfect rectangle?
Who was Mr. Dressup's androgynous puppet friend?
The androgynous puppet's pet dog?
How much was tuition when you went to school?
How did you pay for your schooling?
What is the highest tax bracket in Canada?
If you were arrested by the Surete, where would you be?
How many political parties have seats in the House of Commons?
Which party is furthest right? Left?
Which party/parties is/are associated with separatism? Separatism of what?
What is the CN? CPR? NDP? CTV? CBC? BNA? RevCan? The Bluenose? A Double-Double? Spearing? Icing? Being "out-of-your-crease?
What is a mukluk? A kayak? A Chinook? An Inukshuk? Susan Aglukark? Buffy St. Marie? Rita MacNeil?
I'm sure that a pur laine Canadien such as you can answer these questions in a jiffy.
After that we'll get back to whether or not the Seoul Metropolitan Government is stupid. |

Jeez, PS. Are those questions from Quiz Nite at that Canadian Pub in the 'won, Rocky Mountain Pub? No, that wasn't it. Mountain People? No... Mountain Rock? Big Rock? Whatever. If so, then that seals it. Never gone, never will. |
