Hey,
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me where I could find a decent pool hall in Seoul. I just moved to It'aewon and have looked around a bit here with no luck. The on place that was supposed to be an actual pool hall was closed. There are a couple of other places that had tables but they are always busy.
Incidently if you are in a place that has just one table is it cool to come up and challenge the person for the table? Is there anything one should know about pool here?
Thanks |

It's not too easy to find a truly western style pool hall in Korea. However, there are plenty of tables available to play at in the bars in Itaewon.
Things you need to know: 1) Yes, it is polite to challenge people in the bars for the table. There is generally a sign-up board where you put your name and wait for your turn. 2) In Itaewon, it is common for most people to play Itaewon Pool League rules, which includes ball-in-hand and a few other rules that are much different from barroom pool back home. 3) If you really like the game, find a bar with a table and ask if you can join their league team. League games are every Wednesday night and start at 7:30. The current season only has two weeks left, which will be followed by a couple weeks of playoffs and then a new season.
Check out the league site for more details...
