I went on one of the long weekends a couple years ago and had a great time. My favorite thing was renting bikes and cruising around the town. We also had a car so we went out to that folk village place. Bulguksa (I think that's it) and the grotta thing are also very cool and worth a visit.

Definitely check it out.

I concur. I was at the tombs park during an afternoon and the Korea National Symphony/Orchestra was tuning up for a concert that evening. The tuned up with classical Korean music. Man, that was really really sweet. The concert that night was pretty poppy but very good none the less.
