anyone else on here an ex-soldier? i bought my last Gore Tex when i left the Army because i loved it so much, unfortunately it was stolen from me in Florida of all places a couple Xmases ago... now that i am near an Army post i want to buy a new one for my winter coat... is this possible? i think i still have my military ID, although no longer valid of course... would i still have PX privelages?
if the actual purchasing of a Gore Tex myself fails, does anyone have any friends that are current GIs that would sign me on so that i could buy one? i can't remember, but somehow i think that might be illegal... anyway please let me know if you can help a guy out, it's been a bit chilly lately... |

| If you are not hung up on the coat being military style, Gore Tex coats are for sale in Dong-dae-moon. |

I've got the extreme cold weather gear us gvt issue parka (Not something I would ever wear in Korea, but it's fine for Arizona)... I know why he wants one just like it. I own a 375$ Patagonia shell that doesn't come close to the US govt issue. I especially love the inside pockets.
Roomy hood can comfortably accomodate headgear
Full visor with excellent peripheral view
Two cargo pockets
Two armpit vent zippers
Velcro sleeve cuffs
Double elbows
Flapped sleeve pocket
Double-pull non-freezing heavy-duty zipper with snap-down storm flap
Drawstring at hem and inside storm/snow skirt
Slash breast pockets
Current bid: US $44.99

| As I believe you are in Boo-sahn, you might want to try down at the Jahl-gahl-chi Fish Market as they have a bunch of small army surplus-like stores near there. I've never actually looked in one of them, but they may have what you're looking for. The market's almost directly across from PIFF Square and if you walk down the street across from there, looking closely, you should find the places. |

i was the one looking for the parka... and "No" i have yet to search the Nam Po Dong market for one... the nice weather in Busan last week lured into a false sense of security... anyone ever check out one of these stores Denver Death mentioned? i abhor wandering around aimlessly between my the splits of my shift... i am always worried i'll get lost and have to phone my school and ask for help...
i've seen at least 2 Korean guys with them, but lack the language ability to ask them where they got them...
i really don't want to take the KTX all the way to Sanbon just to buy one... my school has branches in Seoul though, maybe somebody could hook me up... |
