I am leaving school today, and my Won Jon pulls me aside. I thought I had my lecture of the month coming. You know the one where based on the complaint of one student you must change all classes kind of lecture. Well I got something completely different.

She pulls out the paper from the immigration office, and said they wanted to confirm my degree even though I had given them all the crap to do that about 7 months ago. Apparently it is some sort of general check due to the fake degrees.

I am not worried in the slightest, my college days resulted in a real diploma.

My only concern is why are they bothering me now 7 months after giving my E 2 visa?

There was a thread about this just yesterday. Apparantly, lots of people (everyone eventually?) are being double-checked. IMO nothing to worry about or be concerned about as long as you are legal.

My boss pulled me into his office one night and told me that he had a phone call from immigration about me. He wouldn't tell me what it was about until I pushed the matter. As if I wouldn't want to know what they wanted... Rolling Eyes It seems that they called to ask him about which recruiter he used to hire me. I didn't go through a recruiter to get this job over 2 years ago. I don't know why they'd be worried about it now. Anyways.. I called immigration on the following Monday and they checked my files and said there were no problems... Rolling Eyes I wasn't very impressed with my boss.. or for that matter, I'm still not.... 91 more days to go! Very Happy
