So how many times do you expect to get sick this winter? How often do you get sick? Teaching kids certainly has the drawback that you're guaranteed to get sick at least once or twice. Coming into close contact with the little rugrats on a daily basis just increases the likelihood of catching some nasty flu. And the fact that they cough and sneeze all over the place without covering their mouths just irritates me Evil or Very Mad

I've had 2 colds in 2 months but they only bother me for one day. I just hate sore throats - the rest I can tolerate and, as I say, they disappear quickly I find.

ughh...I've been sick for over a month now, can't seem to shake it. What's really annoying is I've actually been making the effort to be healthy (er)....I'm giving it a few more weeks, then taking up smoking again...

I catch a mild cold about once a year, it lasts for about two-three days then disappears. Students who come to class with obvious symptoms I banish to the rear of the class and turn their desk so it faces the wall and let them sleep.

I'm about due for my winter long carbon monoxide headache. Oh how I wish the heaters at school were properly vented! Even with a window open, I still get it.

I am never sick, except when I want to vomit.. I am just sometimes ILL.

I've been ill once - just this past couple of weeks actually. Had tonsillitis, followed by kidney infection.

I had it last week, 5 days of pure torture, in bed the entire tiem with a fever of almost 40C. Strep throat.

The thing that absolutely ticks me off so much is that the ENT would only give me 6 days worth of antibiotics. When the 6 days were up I went in for more; you know, kill the strongest strains of bacteria that are remaining, and she REFUSED to give me anything.

I always learned, even in grade 11 biology, that it takes about 10 days to ensure that the bacteria are all dead. If you let them remain, you'll just get sick again, and it will be worse. So why do Korean doctors now acknowledge this?

Anyway, the biggest reason I am so angry about it is because I've only been well again for about 3 days, and I came home from work today feeling like a zombie. Just in time to ruin my weekend....and I don't think my boss will give me another 5 paid days from work....
