Does anyone know anything about tourist visas?

My girlfriend's coming here soon and I want to know if she'll be able to get a tourist visa with an onward ferry ticket, rather than an onward flight.

Is this possible or is it wishful thinking?

Yes, I do the onward ferry every time I have come on a tourist visa...

The only problem is they get a little bit cranky as you have no ticket back to the country of origin or a ticket out from japan(presuming that is where you are going to catch the ferry to) but just remind the airline ticket person when you check-in is that all you need is an outward ticket from the country you are going to...

Make sure you tell them when you get to korea you will buy an outward ticket from japan and they will relax but still won't be too happy..
