hey all,

a group of us are trying to amass as many blankets, tents and warm clothing as possible to give to the pakistan embassy. president musharraf has guaranteed that any donations given to a pakistan embassy will make it to earthquake survivors.

here's the text of the email we've been sending out.

-----------
Rallying the Forces!!!
A friendly challenge for all English teachers in Seoul.

The English teachers at the famous Jackies Clinic would like to offer a friendly challenge to all ESL teachers in Seoul. On Saturday November 19th, at the Pakistan Embassy in Itaewon (Yongsan-Gu, Itaewon, 124-13. Tel: 02-796-8252), we will be delivering as many warm blankets, tents, and warm winter clothing as we can – to be sent to the earthquake survivors in Pakistan.

We challenge you to gather more donations from the staff, teachers, and students at your school than we can!

Can you face our challenge?! If so, meet us outside the embassy at 2pm on November 19th with your schools donations. We will transfer your donations via truck to a location in Gyeonggi-do that we have arranged with the embassy.

The Pakistan Embassy is opening on a Saturday especially for us. We want to bring as much attention to this event as possible so we are contacting The Korea Herald, Korea Times, K-scene, and Seoul Connection. We will also be handing out fliers in Itaewon. (If you have any other media contacts, dont hesitate to forward this letter to them.)

Please forward this email to ALL the teachers you know in Seoul. Lets try together to help these people through what is going to be a tough winter!

Please contact us via email to let us know if you are coming: [email protected]
