I've got a Toshiba Qosmio F-20 laptop. I've used it in wireless mode when I can, mainly when sitting in Starbucks and sometimes at home when someone in the building has there wi-fi hub on.
I'm considering a wireless router by D-Link, the DI 624+. I've read some mixed reviews on this router but for the most part they have been positive.
Is anyone using this router at the moment? If so, how is it performing for you? Any problems? Is anyone using it with the Qosmio laptop? If so, how was it for software installation and operation of the router afterwards?
Any tips or info would me much appreciated.

I Love my DI-624.
Exceptional range, exceptional speed, exceptional ease of use, and very competitively priced. |

I like my Linksys. I've never owned a D-Link. I read the reviews on www.cnet.com and the reviews don't look so good. But CNet seemed to really like it.
Then again, it seems like there is a 'crap on the other guy' thing going on between the companies. I think it sounds like all of these have troubles, depending on what you know, what you expect to do with it, and what firmware version you buy. Stick with a top company and just dive in.
The one that many seem to be impressed with is the Belkin Pre-N router. But surprise, surprise, you can't get that one in Korea unless you pay huge bucks. Over twice what you would pay in other countries. |
