| Anyone know if you go to a KEB to get travellers cheques (Canadian or American) do they require a passport, or are you able to get them with your alien registration card only? I remember getting cheques once for a vacation, and they didn't stamp, but it was for a small amount...this time I would be looking for 4-5 million at a time, and don't want any paper trails...thanks |

| I vaguely remember getting American traveller's cheques from Hana Bank a couple years ago and I'm pretty sure they made a stamp or whatever they do in my passport. It was essentially the same as if I'd done a money transfer. |

I got US$4,000 in Amex travellers checks at Woori. I had to show my passport but no mark was made in the passport. |

The cheques themselves are a paper trail.
Cash is the only way to leave no trace. Risky perhaps, but for your purposes, sure. |

Your should not need any form of ID. The KEB of Canada says.
But here they ask for the passport, If you say no and offer the alien card they will sell the t/c's to you no problem.
I ve done this myself at two branches. They act like its a favor or your breaking some law?????????????
I wonder what happens to this info they enter into computers ( the alien info and the T/c info) |
