No this is not about the lesbian threesome fantasies some of you guys harbor.

Liberal Era 1932-1968 (36 years)
Conservative Era 1969 + 36 years = 2005 and counting.

Im doing my best not to get my hopes up too much, but things are beginning to look good for 2008 and beyond. All signs are that the GOP is self-immolating.

We started the conservative swing mired in a nasty, vicious unpopular war that the public never really supported and many felt like theyd been tricked into. Instant replay it may not be, but replay it is. The national debt has quadrupled or more, under the small government crowd. The international communist conspiracy turned out not to be near the threat the conservatives had claimed all along. Now we have the commies replacements skulking in dark corners trying to kill us, but everyone forgets about it except when the government reminds us to be scared. The president only speaks to pre-selected crowds just like Johnson (and Nixon) did. High level government officers are getting indicted all over the place—but weve seen that movie before. The reports say Bush is only talking regularly to 4 people and feels betrayed by the rest—so even his own party is disowning his policies. Its never really been about principles; its only been about getting and holding on to power for its own sake. Play the race card. Play the tax cut for the rich card. Shout family values from the roof tops while boinking the neighbors wife in the basement. Squeeze the life out of the middle class.

Its déjà vu all over again.

I think the public is going to sit up and smack the right-wingers up side the head and begin to drift back the other direction.
