Hi all.
Just wondering if I could get any information from anyone who's lived in Mokpo City. What's it like? Are there things to do? How easy is it to get to/from other parts of Korea? Any warnings?
What about SnB Korea? Anyone had any dealings with them? Anything we should be aware of?
Thanks! |

Do not trust Peter Jang nor the owner from SnB - both lied to me and made my situation much, much worse.
God bless you. |

Mokpo is a really nice place to visit. It's got lots of nice water and islands around it and great food (country style and fish, too!). For me, it was a real nice to place to go and unwind for a weekend or so. However, it is very far from anywhere else (long train ride to Seoul or elsewhere) and it really doesn't have much "non-Korean" entertainments. If you really want to live in countryside/coastal Korea with a nice view, good food, and little western contacts/entertainments, this is the place for you. |

Thanks for the input everyone.
Roch, could you give me any more details than that. I haven't heard anything of/from the guy you mention, so maybe he doesn't work there anymore?
thanks. |

Stay the hell away from SnB. They may have a lot of connections with various employers, but for the love of God never ever work for them!!!! |

Hi everyone!
First time poster here. Can anyone shed light as to why exactly we should stay away from SnB? I recently approached them and Matthew Kim said that he'd put me through to Berlitz. At first I said sure but then after reading all the bad press about them here, I then said no thanks, rather not! The only reason I've asked SnB for help is because they claim to help anyone regardless of ethnicity, age etc and I'm a British born Chinese and have been looking for a TEFL job in Korea since May!!! So anyone who makes a statement like that gets the green light from me.
Any info thanks. |
