I too am considering the holidays on Jeju Island.
It's only a cheap 3-hour ferry from here on Geoje Island via the ferry at Tongyeong (a route often NOT mentioned in tourist lit).
What's up then?
And to those who have lived on Jeju through a winter, what places would you especially recommend? |

Because of the mountain, the difference in weather between the northern and southern halves of the island can be substantial.
What is a chilly day in Jeju-City might be quite a bit more comfortable in Seogwipo.
You've got to visit Loveland while you are on Jeju.
There are quite a few other places I would visit as well. I'm not trying to advertise or anything (or am I?), but I have a whole section on my blog devoted to "Jeju Attractions" (on left of page) that you might find useful. Or not.
Travel to Jeju at Christmas? Never done it, I've always just been here, but I imagine no problem.
Travel around Jeju at Christmas? Ditto. |
