I have been trying to develop a game for my students to incorporate the game of soccer and a question/answer type format.
This is what I have thought of so far:
Draw a soccer field on the whiteboard in my class.
Two teams, each team has five or seven players. Player positions drawn on the whiteboard soccer field.
Each team is asked two concecutive questions, questions would depend on the ability of the students and would include, alphabet, pictures, maths, general knowledge, etc.)
A correct answer would allow the team to move one player forward toward their goals. An incorrect answer the team would move back loosing position on the field.
Once a team is at a position in front of their goal, a correct answer would allow them to score a goal, an incorrect answer would take the play back to the centre circle.
I had also thought of bonus questions, much more difficult questions, to allow the movement of two places if answered correctly.
I tried this in a class today, the students had a lot of fun, but I found lots of problems with my original concept.
Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thankyou |
