I just can't believe that CNN commercial.
They claim that every day 2.5 million world travelers spend all day and every night in their rooms watching CNN. Now, tell me. Would you go to all the trouble of flying to a different part of the world just to spend all of your time in a hotel room doing nothing by watching CNN?

Well, it isn't the only thing I do, but I do turn on the news while I'm trying to fall asleep with jet lag telling me I should be out and about. |

That's what I was doing on 9/11. Kind of lucky I was in a hotel, because I didn't have a TV at that time in Taiwan and probably would have missed the whole thing. (My ex-girlfriend heard about it second-hand, but didn't really get why everybody was so upset, not having seen the pictures or any of the reaction." |

All the times that I've done backpacking through SE Asia, I usually will check into a nice hotel once every two or so weeks, lie in a nice clean bed with crisp sheets, order room service and watch CNN International all day. Bliss. Great for recharging the batteries. |

when you've got a hotel, but no more money left for the day, and your feet are tired from hiking, or running around doing the tourist thing, or you've got food-poisoning - nothing beats cnn! |

Right. You did NOT spend all day watching CNN. The commercial says all day and every night. |

Amen brother (or sister). You sure can say that again. I think that they should change the name from:
CNN
to:
The Iraqi Suicide Car Bombing Network, That Every 10 Minutes Interrupts Its Almost Non Stop Coverage Of Iraqi Suicide Car Bombigs To Give Us The Forcast High Temperatures For A Small (And Always The Same) Handful Of Cities Around The World And Who Also Interupts The Iraqi Suicide Car Bombing Stories To Tell Us 1000 Times A Day That Malaysia Is Truley Asian.
PS: Dynamic Korea.

Of course not all day, and all night - and yes, cnn is very boring. But when you haven't seen English television in weeks, or even really spoken English - its a nice little piece of home. |

I laughed when i saw that on CNN as well ... hehe ... classic black-white thought.
There aren't too many less pure race societies in the world. Dynamic within itself? Like meaning diverse? Who do these people think they're kidding?
From the standpoint of a sales campaign, & working to promote improving Korea's int'l "image" all too understandable. |
