I was watching live streaming BBC World via the Donga Ilbo's website this morning, as I do every weekday, except today, I had a late start at work and so it was on for a few hours.
I had a faultess video stream with perfect audio continuously for over four hours, until an item toward the end of Asia Business Report. I was wondering why the BBC were using the past tense in the sentence "Korean consumers were less confident in December..." in a report aired at lunchtime on the first day of the month, and so paying close attention when...
They reported that Samsung had been fined USD300m in the States for price fixing, and for the duration of the twenty-something-second piece the not-seen-in-weeks "Bad or No Signal" warning began appearing sporadically on the screen as the pictures froze and jerked and the audio staggered and stumbled, only for normality to return as soon as the story changed.
An eerily timely coincidence, or some subtle patriotic censoring by someone in control of the feed? |

I mentioned it on here to see if anyone else had also seen it.
Not many married, hagwon-owning, poker-playing Aussies in Changwon, are there, BigBuds? |
