Hey Guys,
I just took a job yesterday which starts on Dec. 12th.
I have to be out of Korea by Dec. 6th, because my visa expires.
I was planning to go to Fukkoka the morning of Dec. 6th from Busan,
and return on Dec. 9th.
However, when I called Kangsan travel (yes, I know about their package! ), they told me the package is open for the 6th, but sold out for the other nights.
Is there ANY decent accom in Fukkoka in the 30-60 dollar range?
Or am I rockin the capsule?
Please don't yell at me for poor planning, because I've had about 24 hours to plan this entire ordeal. Until 3 days ago, I was about to give up and go home, but then I got an AMAZING job offer.
So, any advice?
Cheers!!

http://www.hotel-newsimple.jp/ - no English, but easy to navigate and see pictures and get a map.
Rooms from 4000 yen, dorm room adult from 2800 yen
[email protected]
I stayed here back in October. It's in a quiet area, but still close walking distance from Hakata Station. There are a couple of convenience stores nearby.
Just email them (in simple English) the dates you want to stay and what kind of room you want (dorm/single; smoking/non-smoking. They are pretty good at replying within the day.
The single rooms all have own basic bathroom and TV. I think the one I got was the cheapest one, but if you want one with a desk, you pay extra (I didn't have a choice). Dorms have a shared bathroom.
Check-in is from 3pm-midnight, but I was able to drop off my luggage to store when I got off the ferry.
Oh, a complimentary basic Japanese-style breakfast (rice and miso soup) is also available between 7-9am.
This is a really decent deal for a Japanese hotel and it is a lot cleaner and newer than some business hotels. |
