As the title says.

Its contract time again and I went over the contract with a fine tooth comb. I didn't initially know that tax rate is much lower then what I was paying. 100k won a month is a complete robbery, I should be paying around 29k on 2mil.

Any way I said that I will not sign the contract unless the contract actually abides by Korean Tax laws. I have also politely asked to be refunded the money they overcharged me.
The director made the following excuses; For the past five years no foreigner talked about it. My favorite one was; the 5% includes other deductions, so I asked what they were. She turned and promptly stormed off infuriated.
I am actually hoping that they will drop me because I want to go home for a bit then comeback to South Korea or maybe even Poland.
Korean teachers even said I did the right thing, not sure why but I think their is a whole lot of tax fraud in my school.

Do you have a pay slip with the amount deducted on it?

If so take them into the tax ofice and jst ask them "how much should I be paying?"

"My friend doesn't pay that much."

They should do the rest.

Youre hoping they will drop you? Why are you re-signing again then?
