|
|
Please forgive me, I'm new to this! I finally picked up my passport from the Korea embassy in Ottawa, only to discover that it show a date of expiry in Feb 2006. Since the Visa is for a year, shouldn't it be stamped to reflect that? My recruiter[please forgive me, I'm new to this] says that all the visas are issued that way, because of the requirement to get the ARC card within 3 months. So my question is - will my passport be updated to show the correct validity date, once my ARC has been issued in Korea?
Having read warnings about trying to leave Korea with an expired visa, I would appreciate some reassurance on this. |

Your recruiter is right (gasp!)...
That date is not you visa expiry date - it's the date by which you have to get your visa.
Your REAL expiry date will be shown on your Alien Registration Card that you get once in Korea. |
