The first few years I was here, the Dave's Job Site helped, but I think I can agree that Mr Sperling made a mistake by requiring employers to pay a fee to read our resumes. During the next-to-last interview process I let slip that I had volunteered as a moderator of the forum while talking to someone about about a uni position, and she complained about this fee (which was new at the time), and seemed to suspect I had something to do with it.

(Yeah, bad move on my part to even mention any connection with this site in an interview, maybe, but someone would have figured something out eventually, probably.)

I think the OP is correct : the fee system means that only a few of the largest schools, but usually, recruiters do their work at Dave's. In many cases, both are looking for people who have never been to Korea and don't know when and how they are getting shafted by a dishonest or simply poor contract.

Last job search, I had more action from Work 'n' Play, and perhaps there are some other alternate sites out there I don't know about. Don't hesitate to post or pm such alternate sites, cuz I will be looking for a new venue in the next few months.

The think the job ad board here is still the best in Korea, though it would be nice if it were sorted into categories, with kiddie hogwan jobs not mixed up with the rest.

Then it would look like there was not as many jobs. Lumping them is a good business move.
