Hey all,
I posted a while back about my recent back probs. This last week my "herniated disc" has caused me little to no problems and I would say I am about 90% and ready to go.
Now, if you ware wondering how.... prepare yourself this may sound crazy. I did it without, Dr's, physio, special diet, or exercise. I started reading a book, ...about back pain.
It is the theory of the Dr. who wrote the book that 80% of back/neck pain is caused by stress. The stress causes the brain to create a distraction in the form of pain. The pain serves to distract people from the real problem at hand.
It may sound rediculous but I assure you it is legit. Im feeling 100 times better, its like a new lease on life.
The book is called"healing back pain" by a Dr. Sarno.....
The book described all my symptoms, told me that I was probably informed that my condition was a herniation, blah blah. described my situation to a T>>>>>
If you have questions feel free to email me, I know it sounds redic, but its really quite amazing.

One word........YOGA.
I have found that doing certain yoga postures have really helped loosen up my back and also help ease any pain that I have.
There are even some books out there with titles like "Yoga for back pain"
or something like that.
I am not a yoga freak or anything, but I have found that certain postures do help my lower back.
Another thing that helps is doing a few "hindu pushups" slowly.
Neck pain? I don't know but I am sure there are yoga things that would help your neck as well.
I hope this helps.

I second the yoga.
After months and months of an aching back (muscular) I was at the point where I couldnt' even sleep due to pain.
Within 2 weeks of yoga...."What pain!!??"
The stretching, muscle building, and general posture was such a help I was amazed. |
