From what I understand I have to bring a Visa letter to Japan with me when I do the Visa run. I don't have a Visa letter or even know what it is. I do have a Visa number, and it has a few letters in it, but no actual letter or anything. Am I missing something? And if so, how do I get this Visa letter!
Thanks

The number is all you need now, it has replaced the visa letter. |

Recent changes include the issuance of a number instead of a piece of paper. Some embassy/consulate locations may still require the paper certificate, but Japan (at least Osaka and Fukuoka) accept the number. If submitting at another location, suggest verifying that they will pocess the visa with a number alone prior to visiting. |

Oh thanks be to God.
I have the number so I'm all set. Now it's all about figuring out the directions and the location of my hotel. The research never stops hey.
Thanks a heap for your input, it put my mind at ease a bit. |

Ok, now that the Visa thing is sorted out,
all I need to bring with me is that number, my passport, and 4 pictures?
Is this right?

You need one photo. You might also have to bring your original degree or sealed transcripts... even if you already provided them for your visa to the Korea-side immigration.
The Toronto consulate requires it. |
